Moving From Provision To Possession

Colossians 1:16 NKJV
For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

All of the difficulties which Israel went through was for God fulfilling His purpose in and through them. His ultimate plan was for the Messiah to be in Israel at the proper time. God was delivering Israel, for them to be in their proper place.

For us to fulfill our purpose, we must be in the proper place. If we are not at peace or we are without the amount of income to sustain us or the vision God has given us. We are possibly not at the place of our assignment yet.

God will not leave us without having what we need to accomplish our purpose. God will move us from provision to possesion. He will not leave us where we are, but lead us to our destined end.

Here is an example we can look at to give us some perspective,

Egypt is a symbol of not enough. We are attempting to work enough to meet our needs, but we are unable to make ends meet.

The Wilderness is a symbol of just enough. We work enough to meet our needs, but not much more.

The Promised Land is a symbol of more than enough. This is where we are walking in a place where our needs are met, we are putting money away, helping spread the gospel and blessing others with resources to spare.

God has to change the way we think. We must start this process by being in the Word. When you are depending on a man made system and are finding it difficult, God is trying to get you into His economy. We must keep in mind that poverty is a mind set. You can be wealthy and have a poverty mindset. This will cause you to hoard everything you have and unwilling to help anyone.

We can't live above what we know. If we don't make the effort to learn more and increase knowledge in an area we are moving into, it is quite possible you will not be as effective or reach the level God has destined for you.

All of Israel knew that while they were in captivity, that Pharoah had control of their lives. It took God sending Moses to deliver them, lead them through the desert and into Israel which is the land God had promised them to get them continually moving. During the entire period, the people continued to have the mentality of being in captivity, even after being freed.

When God freed Israel from Egyptian bondage, the Egyptians payed Israel back pay for 400 years, by giving them their riches. God has a way of taking care of His people. Keep in mind, Israel had nothing, they had been slaves.

Looking at Colossians 1:16 again,

For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him.

With that in mind, remember all things, even satan is a pawn in the hand of God to move the church to where we are to be.

Hebrews 11:3
By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

God will tell you something and we build on it. God gives us the framework to build and His vision for us to fulfill causing it to be completed. It's only a matter of time before the invisible will become visible. We are now hoping for it, because we can't see it yet.

You start giving Him glory, when you have been told about His plan, He gives you the framework. Their is still work to be done, but their will be a day when you will see it completed. So, don't give up.

II Corithians 4:17
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,

One way to look at our difficulties is that the Lord has hired your affliction to work a greater work in you. You will have a greater level of authority as you obediently follow the Lord's direction through the difficult times.

:18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

One way to look at it is, if it is eternal, it will stay. Because you may not see it yet, it doesn't mean it isn't there.

Colossians 1:16-18 If He is first, He will hold it together.

16 For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.
18 And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

Matthew 6:33 "Things" will hold the things together.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
