Who Do The Chosen Talk To

Luke 1:26-45 NKJV 26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” 29 But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. 30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” 34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” 35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Hol

Surrounded By Opposition

Acts 12:5-10 NKJV 5 Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant [a] prayer was offered to God for him by the church. 6 And when Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping, bound with two chains between two soldiers; and the guards before the door were keeping the prison. 7 Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands. 8 Then the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and tie on your sandals”; and so he did. And he said to him, “Put on your garment and follow me.” 9 So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. 10 When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from

Rediscovering The Kingdom

We are in an interesting time in World history. We are seeing a great deal of instability. The influence of the church has seemingly dropped, but are we looking at this from the wrong perspective? Let’s take a look at what is happening. Newsweek had a story entitled “The Decline Of Christian America” America Has Moved Into A "Post-Christian" Phase Published on Apr 6, 2009 - 7:15:18 AM NEW YORK, April 5 2009 - According to the new Newsweek Poll, fewer people now think of the United States as a "Christian nation" than did so when George W. Bush was president. Two thirds of the public now say religion is "losing influence" in American society, and the proportion of Americans who think religion "can answer all or most of today's problems" is now at a historic low of 48 percent. Newsweek Editor Jon Meacham explores this issue in the April 13 cover, "The Decline and Fall of Christian America" (on newsstands Monday, April 6). According to

How Much Do You Weigh

Ezekial 37:1 NKJV The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. In the Old Testament, the hand of the Lord or the Spirit of the Lord would come on you. We are now in the New Testament, the Spirit of the Lord abides on the inside. God counts how much you weigh or how much authority you have. Many desire to have authority or control over people. This obviously is the wrong attitude. When God places this authority on us, it is for us to minister to someone who needs us. Keep in mind that you are a servant. Jesus was our example. He in one instance washed the feet of the disciples. John 13: 3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God, 4 rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself. 5 After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them
