The Critical Work of Ministers

Acts 6:4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word. For those of us who are in ministry have been given an important reminder from this verse. We are to give ourselves continually (on a continuous basis) to a prayer life which will allow us to be effective in the area of ministry to which we have assigned by God. We need to actively carry out the ministry of the Word, to see lives changed, so they can carry out the purpose God has placed in them. The purpose of we who are in ministry is to bring those who are in our care to maturity. That is why we study and prepare. Take a look at, Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting (maturing) of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying (building) of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure

Fickle People

I find it interesting how quickly people will change from being totally with you to turning their back on you. I’ve had it happen to me and you have it to happen to you as well. We shouldn’t be surprised, Jesus dealt with fickle people. Jesus talked about wolves being in sheep clothing. It is a benefit as a believer that we can discern what spirit a person is of. First, we are going to see how the people celebrate Jesus because of a miraculous manifestation. Secondly, the same crowd have a total attitude change, when Jesus goes to a home where they believe the owner isn’t worthy to have Jesus and they begin to turn on Jesus because he goes to that unworthy home. People will love you at one point and in no time at all they show a displeasure with you. I have had people who were “dear” friends when I could benefit them, but when I no longer could help them, they don’t answer their phone, return an e-mail or answer in any form of communication. Sometimes that can be a blessing. Let’s loo

Understanding The Times We Are In

Understanding The Times We Are In I Chronicles 12:32 (Amplified) “And of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times to know what Israel ought to do, 200 chiefs; and all their kinsmen were under their command;” We are in a crucial time when you consider the various things that are happening. We are fortunate to have voices on the planet today that walk in the same spirit, as did, the descendants of Issachar. I will not take time to list any here, know they are out there. Their are those who are walking in a gifting which allows them to have an ear to hear what the Lord is saying now. As was the case in biblical Israel, there are those in a leadership role who operate in a prophetic gifting, as did the 200 which are mentioned in the text. It is fortunate that Israel had these 200 leaders which had the understanding of their times. We have individuals who are walking among us, that operate in the spirit of Issachar. They operate in tremendous accuracy. One thing that has to be taken

The best way I have discovered to improve our Video camera skill is to watch TV

If you ask writers how they improve their skill, they will say they read more. If you ask still photographers how they improve their skill, they usually say they look at more photographs. If this is the case, it is true for us who shoot video. You must watch lots of television or go to the movies and pay attention to the camera work. As a result, you will have an idea what the director looks for. You don't sit down with a bowl of popcorn while you watch your favorite show. You take time to analyze other people’s work. It is best to pay attention to how shots are lit. You must watch for angles and notice transitions, as well as the amount of head room, plus several other items I could mention. You will see a pattern, if you will look for it. This pattern should be the root of your basic approach to shooting video. By watching how the camera is positioned relative to the subject, noting the length of each scene between transitions and judging things like focus and depth of field, you
