Selecting qualified leaders

Exodus 18:21 NKJV
Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them to  be rulers of thousands, rulers of hundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens.

It is important to choose leaders who are biblically qualified to serve. If we are in a leadership position and we are placing people in leadership under our authority, it is needful know they have our heart. Our heart is God's heart. Remember that we follow Him according to the scripture above. Leaders are given authority over the amount of people they are graced to lead. If you are a leader, don't attempt to walk outside of your grace level. You may be graced to serve 200, if you strive to reach 1,000, you may be outside your ability and will hurt the 200. If you are to get to the 1,000 you will reach it in levels.

Purpose

You may not realize it, but our purpose can be found in our gifting. God put inside each of us skills and the desire to fulfill it.  When I was around 5 years of age I discovered how radio worked. At that time I was bitten by the radio bug. I discovered my purpose! When I arrived home that same day, I pulled out the record player, the 8 track tape player (yes, I’m that old) and a screw driver for a microphone. I was determined to have my own radio station (as a 5 year old). That day WNTC was born. A station that could only be heard in my bedroom, but that didn’t matter to me.  I had no idea that it would create a life long obsession! I was privileged to work for 30 years in the radio business. I was later put out to pasture permanently, or so I thought in December 2008. Then in early 2017, I had the privilege to start producing programs at WGTK and later was asked to report news.
