Follow Your Dreams

All of us have a dream. When we were small children an adult would ask us, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” My generation would answer something like this, “I want to be a policeman, a fireman, an astronaut” I could name so many other career choices.

If you are to ask kids from this current generation, you would receive a completely different set of answers. Some of the answers you would possibly get would be,  I want to be a You Tube celebrity, I want to be a blogger, I could continue with so many opportunities that didn’t exist 5 years ago.

If a young person has a dream of achieving whatever they desire, the possibilities are fantastic with the advent of technology. The ability to work from anywhere using the internet makes so many things possible. As I mentioned earlier, you can post video to You Tube and it can be seen worldwide. A live radio broadcast can be produced from anywhere with an internet connection.

Whatever dream you have, the possibilities of reaching it are greater now than any time in the past. With that in mind, why not pursue your dreams? Study whatever you need to study, read whatever book you need to read, take a course, take someone to lunch who has been successful in the area you want to pursue.


The key is to do whatever you need to do to Follow Your Dreams!

Purpose

You may not realize it, but our purpose can be found in our gifting. God put inside each of us skills and the desire to fulfill it.  When I was around 5 years of age I discovered how radio worked. At that time I was bitten by the radio bug. I discovered my purpose! When I arrived home that same day, I pulled out the record player, the 8 track tape player (yes, I’m that old) and a screw driver for a microphone. I was determined to have my own radio station (as a 5 year old). That day WNTC was born. A station that could only be heard in my bedroom, but that didn’t matter to me.  I had no idea that it would create a life long obsession! I was privileged to work for 30 years in the radio business.
