Create something you wish already existed. 

Have you ever thought, “I wish someone would create something to solve this problem”? When that thought crossed your mind, did you begin to picture in your mind the solution, seeing the steps to solving the problem? Is it possible that you are being given the knowledge to creating the solution to your own problem? Perhaps, you have the solution to a problem for someone you are yet to meet. You may ask how is that possible? It possibly came as a fleeting thought and you continued to ponder on that thought and you began the steps necessary to complete the process and you are not sure why you put in so much effort.

Could it be, that you could have the solution to someone’s problem? God has ways to use us, that we may never consider. When you see something that has amazed you or you wonder why someone created “that”! It is possible that, it was not created for you, but for a person that you will encounter in the near future?

Have you ever thought about how something came about? When you realize that a particular item has only been in existence for a short time, it can give all of us the encouragement to be creative. You possibly are saying to yourself now, I have an idea for an item, a concept to do “it” better, or an improvement to something that already exists.  

Is there something that has you full of anticipation at the possibilities of making your life better? Possibly you have that thought strongly pictured right now and the excitement of the possibilities are getting increasingly strong. Write down those thoughts, right now! Do it while it is fresh on your mind, otherwise, it will leave your mind and a few months from now, you will read somewhere how someone acted on an idea and was incredibly successful and you discover, THAT’S MY IDEA! Don’t be that person! Write it down, work out all the steps and ACT ON IT!

It  can be an idea that will benefit you at first, then people around you will begin to notice the change in you and start asking questions of you, such as, What are you doing differently? I have noticed a change in you. I can’t put my finger on it, but something is definitely different about you!

Many entrepreneurs design products to certainly “scratch their own itch.” Many creative people when they are unable to find what they need, will find a way to create it, so they can solve the problem. Think about it, that’s how loads of problems are solved. You experience a difficulty and create a solution.

Musicians and artists approach their work the same way. They create music they would want to listen to, draw pictures and create paintings they would want to see and write books they wish were written. That’s how many personally approach their work. I write content that I would want to read.

Your work should first and foremost resonate with you. If you don’t enjoy the product of your work, you cannot expect other people to enjoy it. Create to satisfy yourself and you will find a large number of people in your same situation.

Purpose

You may not realize it, but our purpose can be found in our gifting. God put inside each of us skills and the desire to fulfill it.  When I was around 5 years of age I discovered how radio worked. At that time I was bitten by the radio bug. I discovered my purpose! When I arrived home that same day, I pulled out the record player, the 8 track tape player (yes, I’m that old) and a screw driver for a microphone. I was determined to have my own radio station (as a 5 year old). That day WNTC was born. A station that could only be heard in my bedroom, but that didn’t matter to me.  I had no idea that it would create a life long obsession! I was privileged to work for 30 years in the radio business.
